Dining Onboard Evrima - The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection

 At one time or another, we've all seen these behemoths of the open seas. No, not whales, cruise ships! These marvels of engineering, sometimes carrying more people onboard than the destinations they cruise to. Each ship with its advantages. Larger ships offer endless amount of activities from go karting to roller coasters, infinite dining venues & bars, casinos and hours of live entertainment. On the other hand, where smaller cruise ships fall short on most of those offerings, they deliver a more slow paced, intimate, curated experience with no lines and can access many destinations that large cruise ships simply cannot, and are even not permitted. Queue the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection onboard Evrima.

Launched in October 2022, Evrima offers a crew to guest ratio of 1 to 1.2 for some of the most attentive and personalized service on there is. With a maximum capacity of 298 passengers on the 624ft yacht, another advantage of a small ship is that there's never many passengers in the common spaces, making it more of a floating hotel than a cruise ship atmosphere. Not including bars & lounges, the ship offers 5 unique dining venues.

  1. Evrima Room - the ship's main dining room, able to accommodate private parties & larger groups.
  2. S.E.A. - a reservations only, special dining experience by Chef Sven Elverfeld from 3 Michelin Star Aqua restaurant in the Ritz Carlton Wolfsburg, offering a European tasting menu. 
  3. Talaat Nam - offering Asian cuisine with a sushi counter and various Chinese and Korean dishes.
  4. The Pool House - casual dining that brings the outside in, overlooking the ship's main pool.
  5. Mistral - the Mediterranean al fresco-only option with prime cuts of meat and fresh local catches.
Regardless of the cruise itinerary menus at every venue change every 3 days, and in addition to The Pool House, Talaat Nam and Mistral offer lunch on alternating days. Below are some meals I enjoyed onboard. In case you're wondering, this is indeed an all inclusive food & beverage program with available upgrades for elevated wines and rare spirits. Don't read this on an empty stomach!
