 Welcome to Fort Lauderdale, Daniel's! And welcome to the upper echelon of culinary recognition, Fort Lauderdale! In February 2025 foodies in South Florida rejoiced after the Michelin Guide announced that for the first time Fort Lauderdale would be included in the Florida guide's expansion. After ten weeks of anticipation (I'm sure I wasn't the only one) Michelin revealed its newest inductees for the year, signaling a new era for the city’s culinary scene.

Among the standout newcomers is Daniel’s, A Florida Steakhouse, which has impressively earned a Michelin recommendation just six months after opening its doors. The restaurant brings a fresh, elevated take on classic steakhouse fare with a distinctive Sunshine State twist. The menu is deeply rooted in local sourcing, spotlighting Florida-raised beef, Gulf seafood, and regional produce, all crafted with precision and creativity. At the helm is Executive Chef Thomas Angelo, whose vision for Daniel’s stems from a desire to create a dining experience that celebrates the richness of Florida’s land and sea. Backed by the team behind Fiola Miami, Daniel’s blends refinement and warmth in a way that’s quickly made it a standout on the Fort Lauderdale dining scene.
